Tuesday is when I will meet with my academic adviser to hopefully drop out of Computer Science Java I. I tried it but I didn't like it. I do like A+ so I will stay cause it will benefit me in the long run.
My sister ate all the rest of my cereal and I tried my hardest not to get angry about it. I am pissed about it nonetheless.

A+ certification is a damn good thing to have on your resume. I got mine back in 2001 and, even though I never had a "tech" job, I still used it in my job for the next 17 years. Only now, where I don't touch computers, do I not have use for it professionally, but it sure did help when I rebuilt my PC this year.

I'm still house and pet sitting, probably for another 4 weeks yet. Looking to get the internet on here. Will have to wait until payday, though. My phone has a 4GB data limit and I already went over to 6GB last month as I use the phone as a hotspot for my ipads and pc. But, I was at my Dad's beginning of September for Father's Day so, that's mostly why.

My Dad is in hospital. He's been on a surgery waiting list for ages, which keeps getting pushed back further. Now, he's jumped the queue as happens. We went in to see him, went to his place to get some stuff. Had to organise appointments with his Dr, reschedule. My sister did that, which is great as I'm not too good dealing with incompetent receptionists over the phone. She's a people person and is used to dealing with all sorts of people.
He'll be in there a few more days.
This surgery was always the big thing that he wanted to get over and done with. IMO once that's done life will be better. No more waiting, no daily issues, just more time for what he likes to do.

Right now, though I need to figure out how I'm going to get Mum's car and my car switched around, esp when the neighbours won't move their suv over so we can use our car park spot. She rarely goes anywhere. I'm waiting, though, so when she does I'll put my small car in its spot. I can't use it much anymore. I need 2 front tyres as they are bald on the inside edge, according to my mechanic. That's $300 and I'm usually broke.
The Bank of Mum probably would give me a loan, lol, but I already owe her so much (car service) and don't like borrowing off people.

I either need people to buy my stuff, a job, or win lotto 😁
Only one of those will happen, but not soon enough.

He's home now. I picked him up last Tuesday. The specialist said he will get the surgery done in 4 weeks. Strangely, though, in the mail dated the day before he got home was a letter saying he's still in the queue.
A district nurse visits tomorrow and he has a an appointment end of the month so he'll find out for sure or sort something out.
Due to a bit of emotional manipulation he got to talk to the specialist while in hospital, so he may do that again or kick up a stink.
He's been suffering through this thing for too long. The public health system sucks here. Private isn't much better, for those who can afford it.

Ahhhhh Power supply, you love to fuck me at an inconvenient time didn’t ya?!?!

Story time with a stupid A+ student!

I was playing Destiny 2 last night while playing Iron Banner which is more competitive than original PvP. I loose connection, hmmm I think, maybe it’ll fix itself. I reboot the setup hoping it’ll fix itself. Five more minutes and I look around, everything is plugged in and I look at both power cords. My Modem’s power supply is blinking along with the device itself. I check online and it would appear corrupted or bad cord. I think maybe it’s the device itself that has gone bad. It was at night mind you and I didn’t want to go bother doing much.

I updated the firmware from my phone and hope maybe that helped, nah. Went to bed and watched YouTube and went to sleep.

Today’s morning I am contacting my provider hoping they may have a solution. For $70, we can send a guy to see your problem. You see... I ain’t paying $70, nor would I want my mom to be charged for something that I could fix myself.

I ask my mom to see if she knows any possible solution. She mentioned that we did have a spare modem in the basement. I was like DING. I haul ass to the basement and find it along with some spare useful cords. I use the power cord from the old device and used it on my new device. What do you know? It worked!
